Dear all, please join us for the 16th Baltic Sea Summer School on Epilepsy, which will take place as a virtual event, on five afternoons in October 2023 (October 4, 6, 11, 18, 19). Please find a short announcement attached, as well as the application form.
The BSSSE is primarily addressed to medical postgraduates and junior researchers (age up to about 40) with a special clinical or scientific interest in epilepsy. Fluency in English is a precondition.

ILAE: SEEG survey
ILAE has published a survey on the terminology of stereo-EEG procedures in epilepsy. The purpose of the survey is to obtain feedback from the community and to establish a reasonable consensus in the used terminology. The results will be valuable to the scientific community. The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete.

February 14 is celebrated as International Epilepsy Day. The purpose of celebrating International Epilepsy Day is to increase public awareness of the condition and reach out to the media.

WHO epilepsy technical brief
ILAE announces the release of a new technical brief by the World Health Organization that addresses epilepsy: “Improving the lives of people with epilepsy.” The release aims to aims to strengthen action for epilepsy and complements the Intersectoral global action plan on epilepsy and other neurological disorders 2022–2031.
The booklet presents the key information on epilepsy and recommends actions to policy makers and other stakeholders.

ILAE e-Forum 16/01/2023
ILAE e-Forum webinar will be held online on January 16, 2023: Selecting the first anti-seizure medication. Registration is free. Registration allows access to papers in a peer-reviewed medical journals, a 60-minute webinar featuring epilepsy expert, and an optional post-forum virtual networking session with prelengents after the lecture.
